Mbijiwe Diagnostics is a diagnostic medical imaging provider, operated by a team of radiologists and imaging professionals. Our first practice was founded in 2013 by Dr Jan Masesa with the objective of delivering high quality, on-time medical imaging services to the local Mwanza community. We have since expanded to Dodoma region.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses powerful magnet and radiofrequency pulses to obtain high resolution images of the body eg. bones, muscles, ligaments, nerves, brain tissue, spine, heart and pelvic organs.
A CT (Computed Tomography) scan is a medical imaging scan that uses a thin set of rotating x-rays to produce a digital cross-sectional image of the body. To obtain these images an x-ray tube rotates around your body whilst you lie flat down on a moving x-ray table.
Ultrasound is a safe and widely used test to produce detailed pictures of the body in real time. It is performed by a sonographer, a specially trained technologist who takes the images. It uses high energy sound waves generated by the ultrasound probe.
The X-ray image is made when a small amount of radiation passes through the body and exposes the film on the other side. X-rays have energy that can penetrate deep into and through objects. Depending on the density of an object, an x-ray will pass through (skin and muscle) or be absorbed (bones and metal implants).
